Living in the Cold

This is the worst customer experience I have had with any company.  Hopefully you're reading this to help.  I'm waiting on your approval--it's currently pending AHS approval---still.

We have been without heat in our house since Jan 12.  As of this writing, that is two months and two weeks.  It has been winter time.  My children are sick and have to sleep with extra blankets.  This does not seem to be an emergency for anyone else however.

I called Jan 12 to report my heater was broken and they sent someone out to fix it.  He said  the whole unit needed to be replaced inside and out, but that he didn't do replacements.  AHS would need to send someone else.

They couldn't find anyone to come do the replacement so they authorized me to hire someone.  I called a reputable company off of Google and sent in the quote.

AHS said the quote was too high.  I had other quotes, and that's just California.  AHS said it needed a second opinion.  At first they couldn't find anyone to come give a second opinion.  Then they finally assigned a company called Moin, that for all intents and purposes, doesn't exits.  It took 4 missed appointments before the owner of the company finally came.  He was super greasy and prefaced everything with "I'm not going to lie to you."

In the middle of all this, they assigned me my own personal representative.  His name was Sherwin.  He was useless because he couldn't do anything except send emails saying I was unhappy.  (He has a hard job).  However, at some point he just stopped returning my calls.  Finally I got a hold of him and he said he had been reassigned and could no longer 'help' me.  No one told me this...he simply didn't return my calls.

Then they asked for more information from the company that I found.  They requested a more detailed cost break down.  After many more calls trying to break it down multiple ways (the ladies at the company I selected called 4 times, each time being told they needed more info.), apparently it went back to the approval department.

Finally they said they had enough information, but it has now been stuck in approval for two weeks.  Meanwhile, my heater is broken and my kids are sick.
